on being back and baby news

Just a quick drive-by post to let you know I'm back from the Hamptons all tanned, relaxed and this close to being an aunt once again.

My sister just called to tell me she's being admitted to the hospital tonight! She developed some sort of rash and the doctors want to induce labor to be on the safe side (her actual due date is August 30).

So, I'm no sooner back from Long Island and now I have to haul ass out to Jersey. 'Tis the season to be Bridge & Tunnel, apparently.

I'll be back in a couple of days with the birth announcement and a recap from my FABULOUS vacation. In the meantime, Jess details the lone glitch in our trip. Not surprisingly, it involves the LIRR. Fuckers! And I've uploaded a couple of pretty pictures on Flickr if you're feeling nosy and want to check them out.
